If there is anything in the form of writing or rules you'd like to borrow for your own RP, please e-mail me on the gmail account "onsoku" for permission. Chances are I'll grant it if you are a nice, intelligent person, and agree to just a few small stipulations regarding proper crediting method. A little ways from the others, Avatar had latched herself to the underside of a desk-like console (which is now a shield to protect herself from the falling boxes) - pushing her arms and legs out as hard as she can so her head doesn't get bounced around like a ping-pong ball.
"Yo! Now what?" She called to the rest of the group. "I got serious doubts that this thing is gonna stop flailing until it knows we're flattened against the walls."

Jack blinked a few times at Latika as she looked herself over for parasites. Jack couldn't help but crack a smile at her. She'd have to remember to be more careful about the sayings she used. The griffin followed the group as she tried to explain what she meant to the girl.
"Sorry partner, I didn't mean it literally. I meant-" But before Jack could explain all hell broke loose. As Jack's feet left the floor her wings did the work of keeping her from tumbling helplessly. She grabbed a pipe to steady herself as the whale seemed to try its best at murdering all of them.
Gaining ground for Jack would have been a lot simpler if the floor didn't rise up to smack her in the beak when she ducked under a tumbling crate. Jack fell back between a pair of plates that made up the wall and was nearly crushed by one of the moving pistons when it retracted back towards her. She rolled back out from behind the wall and kicked off it to fly up the hall.
She stopped herself though, turning back towards the fish clinging to the console. Offering a hand just before a kiki smacked her in the back and she knocked into the top of the console Avatar hid under.
"DAGNABBIT!" She cussed (for Jack that's cussing) grabbing the girl's arm, tail, fin, whatever was handy.
Assuming she managed to pry the fish free of her hiding spot Jack did her best to keep her flight path clear of projectiles and hate filled walls for her passengers sake, but there might have been more then a few close calls on the trip up to the relative safety of the room ahead.

Ivan continued forth onto the walkway with the others, but as it began to undulate, his flinch reaction was to grab the rail. As gravity started to misbehave, his ears were the first part of him to begin freefloating. Suddenly, the rest of him started to drift up.
His grip on the railing only tightened as he tried to keep himself holding onto it. But, a wondering crate had something to say about that, pinching his fingers between itself and the railing. He shouted some pirate-flavored obscenity as he went into free-floating. He floated there for a moment, rubbing his hand until a rope presented itself.
Of course, he grabbed it. This was around the same time that Casey did, and he was thrown for the same ride, clenching into as much of a ball as he could amidst it. Casey being the bigger guy though, he probably didn't see nearly as much punishment.
"Case'!" He shouted when he witnessed the boar let go of the rope, reaching out to grab him by the collar, or arm, or whatever he could get ahold of with one arm.
"Hnngh!"
He would grunt with some show of effort if he managed to grab something solid on the boar, holding his heavy self with one arm, while supporting them both on the rope with his off hand, "Ya alright, matey?" He called down to him. Needless to say, he wouldn't be able to hold out for very long. Either his arms would give, or a malicious crate or kiki would have some input.

Though disoriented and shaken, Casey managed to countergrab at Ivan's arm, and looked up at him gratefully—but without the time to say anything. Instead, he suddenly pointed his gunarm up, past the rabbit, and loosed a flinch-fire flurry of shots. A falling crate was very nearly cut in half by his gunfire just shy of slamming the two of them.
"Thanks, Ivan, buddy," he grunted through the shower of splinters, foam peanuts, and machine parts. The next time the rope took a swing, he managed to wrap a leg around a railing and stabilize both it and himself.

To somehow be even more alien to the situation than any of the others, Latika seemed to take it all in remarkable stride; despite looking tense, she was far from as freaked out as would have been reasonable. And although the random collisions with walls and robots and floors drew involuntary, alarmed yelps and grunts from her, she did well to keep any otherwise perfectly warranted screaming or flailing in check.
There was a great deal of obvious effort spent on the sheer bewilderment of it all -- the "what on earth is even happening factor" -- and that took up a lot of resources that may have otherwise been devoted to reacting a bit more normally. For the time being, however, she merely clawed her way toward the rope; not frantically, but methodically, using anything and everything she could have, practically climbing on and launching herself off of passing objects when the need arose.
Eventually, she made it to the rope (actually, she first made it to the considerably larger target, Casey, and had to clamber around his backside to get to it), but even once "securely" anchored to her tether, that still begged the question,
"Now what we do?" she asked, loudly enough to be heard, but nowhere near a shout or a holler. "Is flying boat going to not stop moving?"

Was the dive stopping? It was hard to have any sense of direction in that hall, but it felt like they were all being pulled toward the floor for just a moment... before the the airship suddenly and violently decelerated, as if crashing to a stop against something. From the sound of it, they had hit water, and from the feel of it, they were still pointing nose down. This was confirmed when every single member of the party at once felt an irrefutable inclination to fall up the corridor they had just been trying to climb, and, naturally, the rope to which many clung became a useless noodle.
And all the stuff they had dodged? Instant replay! It came at them from behind—along with roaring, foamy, white seawater, spiraling through the interior, and turning it into the world's angriest and most unsafe water slide.
A set of blast doors ahead farther up inside the ship (and toward their objective) lit up with a red, spinning light, and began slowly, heavily closing with a loud grinding and buzzing sound. It was probably in reaction to the flood; apparently, the ship was designed to also be a submarine, and was actively sealing itself off. They'd need to be in those doors, fast,They'll be shut next NPC post! and while it seemed easy enough since they were falling at said doors, they'd have to make it without getting snagged on any of those pipes or pistons, or crushed by any of the falling debris they'd just finished dodging.
Speaking of falling debris, there were also some of the Falco robots from the hangar falling in with them, too. Naturally, they couldn't fly with their nearly six foot wingspan and all the crazy nonsense going on in those closed quarters, so the things just clanged and clattered around with their eyes wide, cartwheeling like toy airplanes inside a shaken toybox.

If only the time to settle down was given.
Desmond being the last one inside had little to avoid during the diving fiasco as he held on to whatever securely fastened object he could, though he had the shortest time frame to latch on to anything. A bit disoriented after being thrown around before actually having the chance to grab hold of something, the ferret had little chance to notice the reversed course of the past projectiles.
With what little time he had to comprehend it, He didn't waste it on holding on the the metal rod. Releasing the hollow cylinder, he took a plunged down towards the quickly sealing doorway, hopefully not hitting anyone or anything in the process.

The sheer force she had to exert to keep herself holstered up under the console was beginning to wear the fish down. She felt her limbs start to shake. Damn it..! Not good, not good.. Avatar thought. Between the frantic flailing of the walls, the fact that she was angled downward, and the extra weight of her tail, Avatar wasn't sure how long she could hold on.
When Jack came, the piranha was ever so grateful, but when she held out her hand to the griffin's hand, the bird was hit with a flying robot. Now the fish was off balence. With the next flail, Avatar's leg gave out and the fish knocked back into the open. That was, until Jack had caught her hand again.
With a silent sigh of relief, the piranha uttered a thanks to the griffin. The universe however, wasn't though torturing the group yet.
"Oh no, for god's- " Avatar cut off her own sentence and looked up to Jack as the water rose below them, and all the stuff started sliding back. "Yo, does this happen often to you people?"

"Hhwuooph...!" Fenn suddenly felt his whole person get flung practically skyward as the ship made its dive into the water, and before he knew what was happening, he got himself clocked in the face by a pipe with a resounding BINK, which he instinctively clung to the moment he hit. He held as tight as he could, though his grip was rather shaky -- made worse by the fact that all of the utter garbage in the small corridor was returning for Round 2.
The panda ignored the pounding in his head as he attempted to throw himself up further towards the closing doors, watching out for those troublesome pistons and robot pinballs, the latter becoming more of a problem as an assortment of Falco bots were added into the mix.
He managed to kick one or two away from him as they came dangerously close to giving him another head injury. It was all he could do to try and keep the way clear for the rest of the team, though as the giant doors were beginning to shut, he couldn't help but feel, for just a teensy moment, that things could potentially just stop right here.
"C'mon, guys, c'mon! Get to the doors..!"

As soon as the boar was stabilized, Ivan let him go with a nod acknowledging his gratitude. He, too, grabbed onto the walkway as soon as he was able to. There was apparently no time for rest however. The ship was most certainly out to destroy them; what happened next confirmed it. Gravity began jerking them around again, now in the opposite direction with crates and objects now falling in the opposite direction at them, and water rushing in.
Ivan dodged the incoming crates with some masterful pivoting on the railing he was on. The torrent of sea water, however, was much harder to dodge and it swept him up. The smell was familiar and usually he was fond of it...but this time it was trying to kill him. He tried very hard to steer himself as he slid down the walkway, undulating as it was. Worlds Most Dangerous waterslide was right, and he was riding it to victory.
"Outta the way!" He shouted to those closest to the door, it was hard enough keeping himself on the slide without worrying about dodging people. Although it'd probably be a blessing in disguise if he collided with anyone as he would end up bringing them through the doorway with him.

The sudden shift in gravity and change in momentum did wonderful things for Jacks flight plan. Jack thumped against the ceiling so hard she let the piranha go, luckily they weren't far from the door so it would be a simple matter of sliding through.
The griffin frowned a bit at having released the girl but she was a fish, so the griffin wasn't terribly worried about it. Jack dove through the doors, once inside she grabbed onto the first object within that was soundly attached to the ground. The whole event was dizzying and Jack needed a moment to figure out which way is up.

Gravity being a fickle mistress was an alien concept to the wolverine who still clung to the rope. Gravity and the ocean teaming up to kill her was equally bizarre, but strangeness did nothing to mitigate the sheer frustration, anger, and panic that swelled up in her heart like a balloon. When she found herself falling towards the doors, it took her a moment to realize that the rope was no longer her lifeline. Letting it go, she reached out to grab a part of the walkway's railing, and found herself hanging uncomfortably from it, looking up. Feeling her weight returning, Tyra almost breathed a sigh of relief. She paused when she looked up and saw the water and debris rushing down.
"Oh, come on, that ain't fair," she mumbled under her breath, feeling crushed as the risk of being crushed rapidly fell at her face. With no real way to maneuver, and not wanting to get her head slammed by a crate, Tyra let go of the rail and ended up sliding/falling down the corridor.
Paxton, on the other hand, had done a good job of clinging to his pipe despite the crazed swinging of the ship, shaking his head to clear his vision. But the ship's collision with the water jarred him straight out of whatever daze he was in and forced him to start hanging instead of clinging. The rushing water didn't intimidate him as much as it did the wolverine girl; in fact, it was hardly a damper on his grip. But when he looked down and saw the slowly closing doors and flashing red lights, he knew he had to move quickly. Scanning below, he created a loose path to the bottom that didn't involve a dangerous slide down. Taking a breath, he swung himself forward and let go, falling down a ways until he landed on the railing, setting his feet down on the supports and gripping the rail with both hands.
Glancing behind him, he leaped back for another drop down--"Oof!"--and was immediately smacked off-course by a twirling Falco that he neglected to account for, sending the dog falling towards one of the ship's pistons. Spinning as he fell, he couldn't reach out and grab anything to slow him down, leaving Pax to painfully smack into the metal rod stomach-first and bounce off towards the metal doors at the new bottom, choking for air. "Ghhkk..."

Water, she was okay with. Being dropped into it however, wasn't so cool. As soon as Avatar hit the bottom, she failed her powerful tail - much like the ship itself was doing - and guided herself through the doors. She waved her tail again and skidded to another bolted-down object across from Jack and hung onto it tightly.
"Is this thing even meant to go underwater?" The fish asked to no one in particular. "'Cuz if it is, the hell is th' reason why it's fillin' with wa-" Avatar stopped mid-sentence, and her whole body froze. Her mind brought the habits of a real whale to the forefront of her thoughts. It wasn't a good realization.
"This thing don't have a blow-hole does it?" She asked again, seemingly to the universe itself, but the real question was 'What could we have possibly done to deserve this?'.
As the fish looked down the hall, she really hoped that this was just her over-active imagination again. She really hoped she was wrong. Avatar didn't know about the rest of them, but she would rather not be launched into the air, and with this being a battle ship and not a real whale, she really rather not think of the outcome of that...

As much as he would have wanted to remark positively towards Fenn's convenient rope placement, the abrupt shift of gravity changed Geoff's intentions. With his hands so rigidly locked on the grated walkway, his feet had been left to dangle, a unfortunate circumstance when his legs were the first to react to change. One harsh flip of his body later, the hedgehog was wrenched away and sent into free fall, not even given the time to register that the ocean would soon follow his path.
However, there was at least one thing more in his favor; the distance to the blast doors. Having secured himself farther along than the others, his (relatively painful) tumble slammed him right down on the wall (floor?) right beside the entryway. Of course, the journey consisted of him mimicking some helpless, quilled pinball between the railing and ceiling, despite his best efforts to grasp onto something.
A low huff of a grunt escaped him upon his anything but graceful landing. He at least held enough sense to roll to the side immediately afterward, falling right through the doors and barely grasping another railing awaiting him on the other side, his body hugging it close like a lifeline.

Latika had soldiered admirably on through the spectrum of their thus far extenuating circumstances, to put it lightly. The complete and sudden reversal of gravity, and subsequent flooding of that section of the hull proved to be the cartoon anvil that broke the back of the metaphoric camel of Lattie's tolerance.
When down and up opted for a career change, the porter's grip faltered in concert with that the first taut, snap of the line caused by the bounce and jerk of so many bodies hanging onto it. Lattie fell -- which way, she wasn't even sure anymore, but she hit someone (Casey's hefty foot, it felt like) on the way down, tagged a piston and started somersaulting, and bulldozed straight into a Crabmeat, unintentionally taking it along for the ride as she whooshed through the closing doors.
Worth mentioning, and very impressive? She didn't make a sound through any of it. At least for Latika, the stereotype seemed to ring true; the more upset they are, the quieter Chunese get.
