Casey relinquished the yoke and began looking for some sort of navigational view on the touchscreen first thing. "Done, annnd..." A few beeps and button presses later, and a map was brought up on the main screen (which was actually a semitransparent volumetric display right near the front-and-center of the room) displaying their position with a bold, blue dot on a gridlined landscape of water and island. They looked to be somewhere in the channel, northeast of crater-like Mist Island. "Done." The hog leaned back with a comfortable thud. "We never actually took off," he explained, pointing out the windscreen. "Ship's just really dang big." True enough, they were still afloat in the water. It was just hard to tell without a good look outside, as high up as the bridge was, especially in the dark of night. |

Satisfied that the robot was dead, Jack reloaded her weapon as she walked back onto the bridge, snapping the chamber shut as she holstered the gun. The air in the room seemed to be promising so Jack allowed herself a hopeful smile. "We got this thing under control, I'm wagerin'?" She asked looking at the happy faces across the bridge, rubbing a hand over the shoulder hit by the beam weapon. |

"I sure hope so," said Geoff as he walked into the room, crystal still falling from his arm. "Sure don't want to be on the receivin' end of that thing again." With the robot inactive, there really hadn't been much of a need to bring about anymore damage. He sure didn't intend to stay much longer on the ship anyway, and with them in control, the E-2000 would hopefully stay put. The ache he felt was definitely causing him to wish for it, at least. He collapsed into one of the nearest chairs, placed right before the windows displaying the night sky. "Nice to see clear air again, at least." |

Only able to assume that since no one responded to her, no one was significantly hurt (or, possibly, they hadn't been able to understand her), Latika wordlessly departed the hall with a deep, weary breath, in no big hurry to return to the bridge -- not that anyone would have been able to tell if she was. When she did at last arrive in the room with the large main screen turned on, she paused very briefly, sparing a thoughtful glance to it, and then crossed to the nearest convenient seat that wasn't smack in front of the entry way. Though definitely a general success as far as first-time adventuring went, the girl seemed tiredly overwhelmed. |

A male, synthesized voice, as if belonging to an AI, and perhaps strangely familiar to Geoff, spoke up over the ship's PA system without being prompted to do so. "This ship's crew is still present," declared the voice. "Two Chimera Capsule Troopers lay in wait on the deck below this one... They may compromise your mission if not dealt with quickly." |

Geoff was simply inert in his chair in the most relaxed position possible, the success of their mission a comforting enough feeling to bring ease to the hedgehog. Although the conflict had steadily grown into more and more intense confrontations with the various robots, the worst the most of them were leaving this with was a few bruises and maybe some waterlogged clothes. In fact, despite a few of the mishaps (the free fall of the ship coming to mind), they had proven themselves fairly competent with the task given, and that was enough for the hedgehog. He did seem to perk up, however, when the synthesized voice spoke, eyes darting to the nearest speaker. They immediately narrowed when the voice did, in fact, actually register with some long-buried memory. "...did I miss the part when the ship decided to start helping us?" he asked out of suspicion, swiveling in his seat and glancing between the ones who had been busy in the bridge. |

Fenn's ears perked slightly in response to the new voice addressing them. Glancing to the hedgehog, he couldn't really offer much other than a half-hearted shrug. "Well, uh... iunno, don't ships normally just kinda... decide to help? Y'know, outta the goodness of their... hearts..?" He smiled a little bit. "Y...y'know...?" There was a pause before he turned away from Geoff and coughed, looking down to the new toy in his hands. "Weeeell, uh... I can easily just dispatch some of my new wonderful best friends to go take care of them. Unless they decide to fight me on that... In which case, you might have to go bowling again." It was almost as if he was just hoping the impending directive would fail, if only to get more shots for the scrapbook. But, either way, Fenn began to fiddle around with the handheld, hoping to issue the order to any able robots within the vicinity to go take care of the 'threat' that lay below, unless someone wanted to prevent him for one reason or another. |

Tyra had seated herself in front of a random monitor, content to just sit back and watch everyone else deal with it. For a moment, she considered reclaiming her bag of chips, but when it escaped her initial inspection, she was quick to give up on it. Then, a thought occurred to her. "Hey, wait...if the ship is alive or something...didn't it try to kill us earlier?" Paying no mind to the wolverine, Paxton was just as intrigued by the voice's presence as anyone else, though he did not seem too phased or concerned by it. Staring up and around at the speakers where it originated, he digested the information as quickly as he could. "Fenn, wait," he ordered as soon as the panda began fiddling with his computer. "I want to try something first...ahem..." Speaking louder to address the disembodied voice of the ship, he asked of it, "Where may I access the ship's PA system?" |

One more threat taken care of - for now at least. The robot looked pretty dead. Seemed that they won this battle. When Latika's question sounded, Avatar shook her head. She wasn't that hurt, it was only a slight headache. Then she pushed herself to her feet, or, almost did. As soon as she put weight on her left leg, a searing pain shot through it - her graceless landing earlier must have twisted it. The piranha sank lower to the ground, but didn't allow herself to fall, and with a deep breath she walked (half limping) into the room everyone was re-grouping in. As nonchalantly as possible, the fish went and supported herself on the nearest wall - trying very hard to hide the fact that she was somewhat wounded. It seemed that everyone was more paying attention to the ship's report then to her - which was a good thing. She herself was listening to the plan to get rid of the remaining Chimera crew members- after all, she didn't want to be left behind. We're going to send Chimera robots after Chimera agents? This'll work well. |

"I am not the ship, nor am I here to serve you," replied the synthesized voice coldly. "I am an autonomous artificial intelligence that shares a common concern with you. I may assist you, if you are... competent enough to be worthwhile. Destroy the Capsule Troopers to prove yourselves." Meanwhile, Fenn's commands seemed to work, because soon, there were five Egg Pawns traipsing into the corridor, past the E-2000, and eventually, past the others in the bridge, making a beeline for the ladder. The first one to even approach the ladder was nigh-instantly riddled with bullets coming from inside the hole following a sudden eruption of gunfire that ultimately marred the ceiling overhead. It fell backward in a mess and burst with a pop, releasing a ring and machine parts all over the floor at everyone's feet. The other four Egg Pawns looked appalled and frightened; they stopped and looked between Fenn and one another as if to say: Do we really have to go down there?" "Urrrmmm," murmured one of the awkward, orange robots. The dark ladder hole lay ominously silent. A couple more popping gunfire noises came, along with associated muzzle flash, but none of it was aimed topside. What they were shooting at was not yet obvious. |

By that point, Casey had already gotten out of his seat, gunarm again raised. The situation was too dangerous to be at ease, but at the same time, he didn't dare make a move himself just yet. He did try to help, though, if only by answering a question the AI was unwilling to address. "I'd think you should be able to use the PA from the captain's seat or the comms station," he whispered, just venturing a guess. "But why now." The latter comment didn't really beg an answer; it was more... rhetorical. |

"Because I think we've gone through enough fighting for today. I don't know what this computer is or what it wants, but 'proving' myself to it is not a priority," Pax whispered back to Casey, not wanting to be overheard by the strange AI--and not really answering the hog's rhetorical question. As soon as he was finished, the agent ventured back to the comms station and soon enough found the PA system. With a click, the screen told him it was ready for broadcast, though he couldn't see a microphone. "Testing," he said, and the echoes of his voice emanating from the ship's speaker system proved that it was on. With a self-assuring nod and a breath to ready himself, he began to speak. "Alright...we know you're down there. We control the ship and everything on it--and that's all we want. We don't have any real interest in you. If you put your weapons down, and come up unarmed and peacefully, I promise that you will not be harmed." Pax remained at his spot at the computer, eyes and ears locked on the stairway access surrounded by fresh scrap, waiting. |

Ivan was pretty much ready to wind down from all the excitement, and sogginess, but it seemed they weren't quite ready to settle in on their new mobile base yet. As was stated by some mysterious voice in the PA system, there were some CT's waiting in ambush, or something. It certainly begged the question who was talking to them, and why. Still, one problem at a time. Those capsule troopers would have to be dealt with. They had the ladder pretty well guarded though. Ivan looked over at Tyra when one of the Egg Pawns got shredded, "You don't got anymore grenades on ya, do ya?" He asked, shooting a glance at the danger-prone ferret as well who also seemed to be famous for his misuse of grenades. What? Word gets around. "Maybe there be another way down," Ivan added, kind of just brainstorming ideas at this point. His eyes finally wandered to the fallen E-2000; more specifically, it's shield. As ever, Ivan didn't really think much of Pax's diplomacy. |

Jack frowned a bit, CT's weren't to be sneezed at, no more then some of the robots they already faced. Let out a long sigh and headed to one of the doors on either side of the hall they came through, she began turning the wheel to open the door. "No grenades." She said, yet again. But it seemed no one was listening to her when she said that. She didn't seem worried about the mysterious voice, it gave them good Intel, so she wasn't going to look a gift AI in the monitor. Assuming she managed to get the door open she'd have to start looking for another access point to the lower deck the troopers were hiding on. |

Geoff had sat stiffly in his current seat, his brow scrunched downwards in a contemplative, debating stare, fingers drumming rapidly on the chair's arm as he tried to put together the pieces. The gunfire earned a glance from him, but wasn't enough to make him budge quite yet. The threat wasn't close enough to bring urgency to go counter it just now. Suddenly, he did move, striding across the bridge in only a few steps into the vicinity of Casey. "This isn't settlin' well at all with me," he muttered to the boar, throwing a distrusting stare to the PA system again. "That voice... last time I heard it was from Rock's robot friend. Some AI we found stored in a G.U.N. facility." His eyes swept back towards the hall to make sure the trouble hadn't reached them yet before continuing. "This is going to start goin' downhill fast if it's the same one, especially since it's still buddy-buddy with Rock." |
