It pains me to say this, but we're done. Thank you to those who have participated and followed along these many years. We had a lot of fun, and your contributions will be remembered for a long time to come.

Strangers and visitors of the future, please respect what is ours. If there is anything in the form of writing or rules you'd like to borrow for your own RP, please e-mail me on the gmail account "onsoku" for permission. Chances are I'll grant it if you are a nice, intelligent person, and agree to just a few small stipulations regarding proper crediting method. But please, leave our characters alone. All fan-made, original, non-SEGA characters, character art, and concepts remain property of their respective creators. Please show respect and don't try to take any of them for your own use.

I hope that some of us will be able to move on and have some more fun writing hobbies in the future. No matter what, we'll stay in touch, and this group will live on, even if it has nothing to do with RP.

I love you guys. God bless.

Fenn sighed a bit as he witnessed the scene unfold before him. Nobody was sticking their landing properly - had they not listened to him? Were they too busy looking at the pretty lights and ships and...

Despite the annoyances, poor Casey's own stumbling efforts caused the panda to snort aloud, almost buckling at the knees upon the hog's collision with the deck. As he attempted to regain his serious face, he shifted his attention to Geoff, as oncoming enemies began to join their little pow-wow. Things were already looking wonderful.

"Apparently," the panda huffed. "The blue button, I said, the blue one. What, did they hit the red switch - try to make themselves a latte in mid-flight? I told them before, that feature hasn't been tested yet..."

Fenn had started moving towards the inbound Pawns in the midst of his griping, before suddenly darting off towards the robot on the left, fighting against the winds on-deck with relative ease. If his sudden agility was enough to catch the Egg Pawn off-guard (as much as a robot could be, anyway), he would throw himself into it via a flying shoulder tackle, hoping to knock it over -- maybe even cause it to drop its weapon, which he would promptly swipe up if given the chance.

All the while, he had not stopped complaining.

"... I even gave them a pamphlet, with colours, and pictures and everything! Did I miss something? Did I have to make it a pop-up pamphlet, too? I gave them, like, five pages of appropriate gliding landing procedure detail, and that one guy didn't even take it for bathroom reading...!"

In the midst of Fenn's ramblings, Geoff had been steadily following him towards the conflict, trying to pin down an opinion of the panda. His unstoppable torrent of words had been blatant from the very first meeting earlier in the day, but the officer at least seemed capable. In fact, the hedgehog was somewhat impressed when he took the initiative to go on the offense before the Pawns decided the same, and with a jerk forward, Geoff was following suit.

With two of them about to be occupied, he charged the last robot, crystal glinting off his quills in the limited light of the night. Going full kilter in a matter of seconds, he literally dived forward as threw himself into an impromptu spin, intending to mow right through the waiting, rotund Pawn. The only warning the 'bot would receive would be the abrupt high-pitched whir that sliced through the windy air before a ball of rock would come careening out of the dark.

As she watched the others' less-then-graceful-landings - especially Tyra's spectacular crash - the piranha couldn't help but to let out a snort of amusement. They quite obviously didn't read the pamphlet, or listen to the explanation (though, Avatar wouldn't be surprised if Tyra had fallen asleep, or some other equivalent during all that).

Then she realized what those 'landings' had caused. The fish swung her head around as she saw Lakita, Fenn and Geoff take out three robots.

"Great," she sighed, shoving one hand into her pocket. "So much for subtlety. Now everyone knows were's here." Avatar thought about her complaint for a second. What was she saying?

"Ah well, more guys to fight." A small smirk grew on her face as she jogged over to where the robots were to join the three who were already there.

Ivan grinned up at the panda and gladly took his hand, using him to pull himself up. He didn't seem at all embarrassed by the situation, and from the looks of it, he was not the only one having trouble. In fact, it looked like a couple of them drew attention to their silent invasion. Without knowing how long the radio jammer would be working, they'd have to take out the opposition quickly.

But it seemed that with only 3 Eggpawn's go around, there wasn't enough for the swashbuckling rabbit. He frowned in disappointment. He looked over at Avatar with a shrug.

"At least they be unable to communicate with the jammer bein' up. Maybe they be the only ones that noticed us." He said, as if maybe he wasn't entirely sure.

Once the griffin realized Pax and Tyra's mistake she immediately started looking for a response from the whale ship's escort. Sure enough four of the balkiry narrowed in. Jack wasn't about to let them dive bomb the group.

Jack soared towards the robots, opening fire on their... eyes? Well they looked like eyes, and seemed like as good a place as any to unload a round or two. The griffin took two shots at each of the birds as she flew in what was essentially a wide circle over the group.

Latika's meteor hammer, the lovely metal ball on a rope that it was, sunk straight into the back of the first Egg Pawn, crumpling its armor such that a good portion of it just plain fragmented and fell off its back as it toppled forward and hit the ground. It wasn't completely out of commission, but it was instantaneously on the ropes, smoking and sparking as it tried to pick itself up.

Geoff's attack met with success as well, but in a different way; his low-rolling spin attack struck the other Egg Pawn's leg and outright took it off, capsizing the robot in the opposite direction, and leaving it sprawled and confused, also trying to pick itself up.

Unfortunately, Fenn's side of the fight didn't go so well. He just sort of went "bump" against the bulky and dense Eggman-shaped robot. It reacted by firing a stubby-legged kick at him, as if to ward him away, before leveling its beam pistol and cracking off a couple shots.

"Ohh crap," Paxton whispered under his breath as he realized that he had a fistful of problems after his tail. Caught out in the open and with no means of defense, his eyes darted around the ship as his mind snapped to attention in a flash. He locked onto the closest launch bay and noted it as his best bet. The dog dashed for it, keeping as low as he could as he full-on sprinted at the opening in the ship, hoping he wouldn't get shot off the side of the deck as he ran for the only cover he could see.

Tyra, on the other hand, didn't seem all that phased by the attacking robots, though. Maybe she was just too distracted by her lesson in extreme altitudes for robots with guns to bug her much more. In fact, seeing the hostile machines seemed to ease her mood a bit as she ran towards them; now, she finally had something to vent some stress on. The wolverine veered towards the Pawn that Fenn was busying himself with. With the machine distracted by the panda, she felt all too welcome to run up and give the bot a good haymaker punch right in its center.

With another player added on the "terrible landing" list, Desmond simply wiped himself with a swipe of the hand, not taking much effort in clearing his jacket of any dust collected during his crash. "Should've read that manual" he gasped as the shock slowly left him. He in fact intended on reading the five or so paged manual, but the afternoon did not bring any good news for him after the "Ace incident".

Seeing the robotic pawns and jet shaped machines heading there way gave the ferret's sinking feeling an extra push downwards as he almost began to dread the rabbit's comment, as it seemed to add extra speculation on the longevity of this supposed radio jammer.

Without much regard to the Eggpawns already there, the ferret's spirit continued to sink as the question of what laid inside lingered on his mind. Removing his pistol from his back holster, the ferret silently reloaded the magazine as he attempted to refocus on the current mission ahead.

I just went and assumed that Jack and Co. had everything covered. Will change if not so.

THUNK.

Fenn realized, as he landed his attack, that this particular robot wasn't falling over, and worse still, it didn't drop the weapon, either. For a split moment, he was mildly annoyed. But then, the panda gave a sudden grunt as the Egg Pawn delivered his own retaliation in the form of a mild kick, causing him to stumble a bit messily away from the machine. And then, it drew it's weapon and decided to use that, too.

Despite his first misstep, Fenn was able to gather his senses in time to evade the oncoming rounds. Afterward, he would circle the Pawn briefly, before making another sudden dash for the target, attempting to leap up and deliver a swift kick of his own, targeting the robot's metal cranium. If luck was on his side, he would attempt to score the strike about the same time that Tyra's hit had landed.

Though decently strong, without any capacity for giving her punches any CE-ified oomph, Tyra was basically left ringing a big, steely gong. She dented it and made it stagger and flail, but its armor was among the toughest Eggman had ever endowed upon any of his mook-level robots. Combined with Fenn's flashy effort, though, the two managed to at least knock the thing down, and, well, being one of those aforementioned mook-level robots, it would wobble there like a turtle for at least a few seconds before making any kind of effective effort to right itself and stand up again.

No one seemed to be having too much trouble. Fenn was running into a bit of a problem with his dance partner, but Tyra seemed to be there to back him up. The others met with plenty of success, but their Eggpawn opponents weren't quite down for the count.

Ivan sprinted into the fray, heading toward the prone pawn that Geoff knocked down, not giving it the opportunity to climb back to it's feet, unsheathing his sword and then swinging it down on it's chassis.

He followed up the attack with a swift and powerful punt to the vaguely ball shaped robot with the intention of sending it out of bounds. That is to say, off the deck entirely.

Ivan's slash loosed yet more sparks and flailing from the machine, which then fell limp. His kick was insult to injury, but not quite in the way he intended; the robot was just plain too heavy to launch like that, but Ivan was just plain too hard a kicker not to, so the disagreement in physics meant that he basically popped the already-busted robot like a big, metal balloon. It literally flew apart with a pronounced "pop," and along with a scattering smattering of machine parts, a single ring bounced quietly out of the containment field of its interior. Like most Eggman robots, it used to contain a small animal in that shielded, interior portion, but it had apparently been retrofitted.

Meanwhile, inside the bay, Pax encountered...

Tons of robots.

But they were inactive.

Yes, thankfully, the robots he encountered were racks upon racks of so-called "Falcos," a red, birdlike robot that seemed to be a modernized take on the Balkiry. They all sat completely motionless, making not a peep, suspended in what looked like specially-made storage shelves, ready for deployment.

There was a disquieting quiet about that moment there, staring down the hundreds of yet-to-be-used robots. Behind the many rows seemed to be an entrance to a narrower corridor (with a sliding, armored door, currently shut), where there stood a couple more Egg Pawns facing one another. As of yet, they had not noticed Pax, and seemed content just to gaze blankly upon one another from across the hall like the utterly bored robotic sentries they were.

Geoff skidded to a near halt after cutting his way through the robot's legs, a skeletal framework of crystal gracing his appearance now. He was fully prepared to finish taking down the Egg Pawn for good, but upon seeing Ivan's follow up, it would prove to be a pointless endeavor. However, two members of their group that lacked more flashier, destructive skills were having some trouble, the hedgehog veering off in their direction to assist.

The 'bot's rotund belly proved to be a convenient target as Geoff left the secure ground of the deck, opting for an aerial approach as his jump created a sharp, arcing path straight at the mook. With a throw of his arms, he swung his body into another spin, slam-dunking his whirling figure down onto the helpless Egg Pawn, proceeding to grind at it like a sawblade for one screeching moment.

Any grinding Geoff did turned out to be against the metal deck, as, on impact, he quite satisfyingly popped the Egg Pawn much in the same way Ivan had just dispatched the other, reducing it too to a burst of machinery, electronics, and a single ring.

The panda had to take a few steps back, to ensure that he was well out of Geoff's way when the hedgehog put forth the finishing touch upon the unfortunate Pawn, slicing right through it and effectively turning it into a pile of scrap. Fenn couldn't help but give his teammate a hearty golf clap. He wasn't terribly great at the ultra-flashy stuff, but when others pulled it off, it was a hell of a sight -- and he loved to watch.

Speaking of sight, however, Fenn suddenly realized that he'd lost track of someone particularly important - Agent Pax had disappeared during the scuffle.

"Where the heck did he... hrm... mighta ducked into one of the bays.." Though he was intent on locating their leader, Fenn swept a gaze across the deck to try and account for the rest of the team.
