It pains me to say this, but we're done. Thank you to those who have participated and followed along these many years. We had a lot of fun, and your contributions will be remembered for a long time to come.

Strangers and visitors of the future, please respect what is ours. If there is anything in the form of writing or rules you'd like to borrow for your own RP, please e-mail me on the gmail account "onsoku" for permission. Chances are I'll grant it if you are a nice, intelligent person, and agree to just a few small stipulations regarding proper crediting method. But please, leave our characters alone. All fan-made, original, non-SEGA characters, character art, and concepts remain property of their respective creators. Please show respect and don't try to take any of them for your own use.

I hope that some of us will be able to move on and have some more fun writing hobbies in the future. No matter what, we'll stay in touch, and this group will live on, even if it has nothing to do with RP.

I love you guys. God bless.

"I'm not sure." Jack replied to the wolverines question honestly though while a little distracted. Jacks eyes were on Ace as he made a sudden run for the doors. The griffin shook her head a bit, as disgruntled as she was by the whole affair, she wasn't sure what if anything could be actually accomplished in this venue.

"Ya feelin' ok?" Jack asked as she finally pulled her gaze away from Ace to Tyra. She didn't think it quite normal to be able to sleep in all that racket.

The girl had to stifle her good-natured giggling in Boogie's direction. It was such a textbook case of puppy love, even she recognized it... but that didn't stop it from being endearing. "Hehhhh... cute kid," she murmured jovially, turning to face the elder of monkeys. What a crew she'd become a part of, this parcel of primates. It was strange, but she felt more like family with them then she ever did with her actual family. It almost put a sad spin on her predicament, to be always waiting... until she took notice of Jared's squinting. "Hey Jear-bear. I'm gonna go-- check on..."

"...Oh my God."

Unlike him, she could recognize those tall ears anywhere.

Certainly when they were all but grinding against the proverbial guard-dogs in an effort to squeeze past them. Unfortunately, he didn't have any kind of beef with them either, nor did he even seem to register them as actual people over any other kind of barricade. It was hard to tell what he was saying amidst all the commotion and it was highly probably he wasn't sure himself, but at least one spoken sentence could be heard as "Wait no, wait-- I don't need a pass--"

Regrettably for Jared, she was already long gone.

Ivan's suggestion had already managed to become implanted into Geoff's mind after some quick consideration, causing the hedgehog to sit and think of a possible way to even slip past. Of course, all thoughts of that were quickly snuffed out by Ace going for the dead-on approach. Irked by the cat's sudden need to be this headstrong, especially after Ace's own protests for him being the same before the concert, he frowned and followed.

Geoff held no knowledge of the relationship between Caz and Ace or even who the mole was in the first place, so it was to no surprise he was a little jarred by the serval trying to abruptly shove his way past the line of bouncers. He came to a halt only a couple of feet away from the cat, knowing it was all too late to prevent whatever reaction the door guards would give.

"Eh...?" Tyra seemed confused by the griffin's question, but it may have just been because she was still groggy. She stared a bit at Jack in response before suddenly blinking, finally getting what she meant. "Oh, y-yeah, I'm fine. Just, uh...thinkin'. Yeah." The wolverine cleared her throat, looking a bit awkward.

"Well, anyway," Tyra suddenly said rather loudly, clearly wanting to change the subject, "what's everyone else doin'? Looks like..." Her stare lingered on the group around the door, Ace trying to push his way past broad-shouldered bouncers. "...Kind of a mess..."

Permission to bounce (read: play the bouncer for this bit) granted by Matt.

Also... I can't help myself

"Sir, I can't let you enter back there without a pass--"

And other such typical lines were offered in the hopes of calming this intrusive cat down (like that ever worked). And while it seemed neither of them were terribly eager to get anymore aggressive than that, it didn't offer any kind of solution to the predicament. Ace wanted in, and it was part of the bouncer's job description to keep uninvited guests out, and thus arrived the conflict.

Until Caz, VIP card swinging madly around her neck, came into play. What started as a cautious step forward quickly grew to a brisk pace, and finally a full on sprint for all the two meters left to her destination. Eyes as wide as dinner plates, she called out with a purpose in her voice, "Let him in! Let him in!"

And it was a good thing he did move out of her way, lest there be a very awkward crash between himself and a mole girl hauling butt in his direction.

Ace on the other hand, was more than prepared-- and all too happy-- to catch her in his arms (even if he was very nearly bowled over), and match his embrace with hers. "Tell me it's you," she demanded, as forcefully as her cracking voice could with her face buried in his chest. "Tell me it's really you!"

And what could Ace do but comply? "It's me," he cooed. He smiled, rocking side to side, petting her and stroking her head and doing everything in his power not to just drop to his knees for how grateful he was for this to happen. But, oops, it wasn't enough. All the same, she fell right down with him, further demonstrating her absolute unwillingness to let go.

"It's me," he repeated, his softening voice betraying his strengthening grip. "I'm here."

Rock, wringing his own cramped wrist, soon looked up from where he sat to Jam and smiled tiredly, but sincerely. Though he reached out to wrap an arm around her waist, and lazily lulled his head against her side, he ended up tensing and shooting a darting glance to the source of the ruckus near the backstage door.

Some Capsule Troopers had a similar reaction, and soon closed in cautiously on the scene. For the time being, they watched at a distance, since whatever was going on seemed harmless enough.

Rock meanwhile stood to get a better view. He looked caught between an expression of mild surprise and confusion.

"Didn't expect them back so soon," he mumbled lowly to Jam, watching the spectacle from a distance.

It was difficult to persist in ignoring such noisy goings-on for so long, and soon, Jam's attention went the way of everyone else's.

Simultaneous to Rock's mild case of the bewilders, the punch red primate stiffened, her spine straightening almost involuntarily as a chill slithered down it, while she drew a long, slow breath in through her nostrils.

"Didn't expect them here," Jam spat, her eyes tightening. She made no effort to not make her voice carry, shrill and indignant as it was. "At all."

The last thing Geoff expected was a blur of mole bursting through the doors right into Ace, staggering back from spectacle, having been a bit too close for comfort when the impact between the two was made. Surprised and a bit perplexed, he blinked once as he watched them lower to the floor, trying to discern the obvious of what was happening. It only took a moment for his thoughts to catch up, the hedgehog shuffling away out of respect to give the two their space. Just by the entire reaction alone, it looked like they needed it a long time ago.

In the meantime, if Ace and Caz proved to be a great enough distraction, Geoff would be found trying to find an opportunity to slip through the doors, all pending if the bouncers had their eyes a bit too stuck on the reunion only a few feet away. He was doubting his chances, though, already seeing the approaching CTs.

"A mess sounds about right for this whole night." Jack said with a bit of a huff as she slipped down out the row onto the stairs.

"I'm seriously doubtin' any of us are gettin' back there." She said to the wolverine, looking back at her to see if she was following. If so, Jack would proceed down the steps, but would stop midway between their seats and the doors, crowding around the doors and the bouncers didn't seem like a good way to do anything sneakily.

For once Jack found herself missing Wild Badge, of all people. Having been a sneak thief once upon a time, the raccoon was particularly well suited for getting into places he shouldn't be. Unfortunately he was off fighting Eggman in the heart of Central City. Something Jack was starting to think would be a better use of their time and skills.

A bit late, but...
Image

May color later for kicks and giggles. Thank you, Mie.

The distraction actually was sufficient to get past the bouncers, just on account of Geoff's confidently-swift walk and good timing. The Capsule Troopers did indeed step in to fill the gap, though, and so there they stood, silently in his way with multi-barreled scatterguns equipped and ready. They didn't look too antsy—not that they had much capacity for showing expression with their faces, but, as for their bodies, they were not yet aiming their weapons, and seemed content just to physically obstruct the walking path while more than a few Egg Gunners and a couple more CTs closed in from all over as backup.

One of the bouncers realized after a quick glance around where he had made his mistake, and quickly moved to grab firmly at one of the hedgehog's arms.

"Listen, we can't let anybody back here without passes!" he protested. "Don't make this difficult!"

"'Ey, you can let'em through," shouted a voice from far across the room; Rock was sauntering their way. His tone didn't have any apparent threat to it, but his something about his slow stride dared all comers, if any even had such a mind to start trouble where there was yet none.

Jam hung back with her hands on her hips, and her boots anchored firmly to the ground. Her lips contracted, drawing thinner and thinner, as her intense desire to not be around for the reunion warred impotently with her desire to remain near Rock should any of their visitors give her necessity.

Needless to say, it was with a fantastic dearth of joy that the simian girl at last strode forward; not within any range mistakable for socializing, but one adequate for electrocution. Her countenance was stoney, and though she flickered a hint of an annoyed glance at Rock's hospitality, she otherwise reverted to silence.

The considerably brighter Bostwick, however, stared around at all the commotion with a giddy sense of awe that rushed to fill the disappointing void of the mole's brisk brush-off.

"Holy cow, Jare'!" he squeaked excitedly. "We got people fightin' to get backstage t'see us! We're like the Beetles!"

With nothing better to do, the wolverine did follow the griffin out of the seating area, arms crossed like they often were. Her stare persisted on the group at the door, but she shook her head and looked away after a few seconds. "Y'know," she began to say to Jack, but did not look at the former sheriff as she continued, "I don't even...really care about all this crap they keep goin' on about...your yellow 'n' green pals, Mr. GUN jerk, pig guy, whatever prick they're all after..." Tyra kept talking, but her tone had fallen to a grim mumble, "Ain't my business...dunno why I'm still here...ain't even gettin' paid for this..."

Despite having just woken up from a nap during a fest of loud music, she still looked worn down, or at least tired. She hadn't stopped looking dismayed since the Sky Rail station.

Just one wall of bodies after another for the hedgehog, whether they were organic or mechanical. So, it was too Geoff's genuine surprise when the CTs simply backed off, Rock's order registering only a moment later. Surely he would have wanted to keep them out, but there was always some sort of plan for the white primate, at least according to Geoff's previous encounters.

Finally, he took the last few steps in to secure himself in the room some of them had sought for, pausing his approach once he put a relatively comfortable distance between him and the doors. He let his eyes sweep around, passing across band members (even the rowdy green one) with blank indifference, but when he acknowledged the two monkeys now before him, a noticeable frown became planted on his lips.

"Enjoyin' yourself?"

"It's Will Casey," said the nearby "pig guy" with an irritated edge to the wolverine who had by this point known him for a couple weeks, yet had gotten mad at him for forgetting her name less than a few hours after meeting her. He had never gotten up from his seat after the concert. (He had actually been on his phone, as par the course—it seemed he always had someone to call about present happenings.)

Backstage, Jared set a hand on Boogie's shoulder and made way to steer him away, and off toward some nearby motley pile of luggage, as if to collect their personal belongings. He suddenly looked a little uncomfortable, and very interested in getting the little one to a greater distance. Maybe he had some idea of what was happening.

"Yeah, I don't think it's quite like that, actually, lil' guy," he answered under his breath as he picked up a gaudy green suitcase and handed it to the kid, then hefted a small duffel, himself.

Rock meanwhile only stopped once he was closer to Geoff than would be appropriate for any kind of hostile stand-off range, which is to say right on the fringe of personal space, and looked straight at him with the sort of understated smile that only smiled to spite the hedgehog's frown.

"Yeah," he replied plainly, jarring eye contact locked, piercing. "You enjoy the show?" he asked in response. "They've been workin' real hard on it for a long time," he added with the slightest gesture of his head in the general direction of Jam and the others behind him.

"Why are you continue to be here?" asked a familiar voice, ...somehow even less coherent than usual, from behind the wolverine at the boar's flank. The loris wobbled a little, as her head fell to a cant, and upon trying to take but a single step forward, she stumbled into Casey; she righted herself under her own power, shook her head briskly, and resumed her not-entirely vindictive leering at Tyra.

"All you do is discour- dis... discurtsey and complain all the time," Latika continued, ineffectually squaring her shoulders, and drawing herself up to her full height. "Very rude all the time to people who only have help you; pay for your travel, pay for your food, pay for your lodging... Everyone here have troubles! Everyone here have stress and people for care about! Only Tyra confronts it with being a jerk."

The porter swallowed dryly, and sniffed indignantly.

"Well, you and maybe other jerk guy," she added with an uncoordinated wave of her arm in Geoff's direction that cost her her verticality. She thudded to the floor, and didn't make a sound, nor stir even a little.

In her seat were three emptied giant novelty cups.

Boogie, on the other hand, was all furrowed brows and (adorably) jutting chin, as the smallest of the simian quartet allowed himself to be shuffled off, looking confused and concerned as he stared back over his shoulder on the way out. Of course, asking questions as he went.

"What?" "Why, Jare'?" "What's goin' on?!" "Who are those people?" "Are Jam an' Rock gonna be okay?" etc., etc.

Jam could have been a statue for all Rock's praise affected her. She stood wordlessly, staring. Not outwardly angry, or irritated, or any emotion at all, really. She barely even blinked.
