Updates Sonic Spindash RP is closed.Founded 05/25/2002 by three friends; ended 09/19/2012.
It pains me to say this, but we're done. Thank you to those who have participated and followed along these many years. We had a lot of fun, and your contributions will be remembered for a long time to come.
Strangers and visitors of the future, please respect what is ours. If there is anything in the form of writing or rules you'd like to borrow for your own RP, please e-mail me on the gmail account "onsoku" for permission. Chances are I'll grant it if you are a nice, intelligent person, and agree to just a few small stipulations regarding proper crediting method. But please, leave our characters alone. All fan-made, original, non-SEGA characters, character art, and concepts remain property of their respective creators. Please show respect and don't try to take any of them for your own use.
I hope that some of us will be able to move on and have some more fun writing hobbies in the future. No matter what, we'll stay in touch, and this group will live on, even if it has nothing to do with RP.
I love you guys. God bless.

The good doctor's information was met, for once, not with the dismissive eye-rolling for the senile old man, but with an inquisitive cocking of brows. The wheels in Tank's head her certainly turning, as evidenced by the way he stroked at his chin, and the way he hmmm'd to himself indicated they matched with Dr. Henshin's. He thought things aloud as the points occurred to him.
"Jostice ees not held back by national borlders... And eet hwould be a shehm, to let soch falyuble eenforlmashun to go to hcwaste... And aye haff nothing bettar to do."
He solidified his stance on the matter with a curt nod and a stout "Hm", returning his arms to the neutral position, crossed over his barrel chest. "Aye em een. May be a good chance forl on site trlaining as well, hyes?" he added with a polite nudge to the shark's shoulder. It seemed he was determined to make a hero out of Mako if it killed him.
Mako, that is.

Though the moth's words were solemn, Ember couldn't help but crack a grin. Sitting straight on the couch, she stated "Nothing wrong with a free trip! I'm in!"
The only words that really stuck in her mind were 'little vacation to Cape Norden'. There wasn't any way possible she was going to pass that up. After all, nothing ever went wrong with getting something free. She wasn't exactly sure what the deal was with Seven, other than his robots were fun to burn, but still. Free trip.

Key, who most certainly did not trust this man as she had never met him before in her life (that she knew of, anyway), had followed everyone in hesitantly. She did not sit down, but instead lingered by the door. After listening to the strange little man, she was even more incredulous. She had to admit, mysterious things such as the flashdrive did interest her, but at the same time she already felt as if she'd gotten involved in something bigger than she'd bet via her last job.
On the other hand, she did love puzzles...
While she could afford to take some time off from her thief-for-hire antics, she had planned on using that time to investigate her own personal interests, not continue to bury herself deeper into the mystery that was that Seven kid from the tower.
Still, breaking into a closed-off nation was a new type of locked door for her. A very tempting locked door.
She sighed, knowing she couldn't say no to a free trip with the added bonus of a mystery for her to crack. Thrusting her thumbs through her belt loops, she shrugged. "I'll go." After a pause, she added, "So long as I don't have to pay for stuff."

The old moth looked pleased, and not even in that slightly-sinister way he typically did! Naturally, he couldn't agree more with Tank, and Ember's enthusiasm (even if only for freebies) was encouraging.
"You'll have to budget yourselves since I won't exactly be able to wire funds to you, but yes, I do intend to give you all as ample of provisions as possible." Another thought occurred to him, and he hemmed a moment. "Ahah, of course, you'll have the money, but you'll also have to take care of finding a place to stay once you get there. You'll manage, though. You're all bright kids. Mostly."
Did he glance fleetingly at Mako? Did he?

Mako was not expecting the tortoise's nudge-- considering his size in comparison to the luchador's arm, it was a wonder he wasn't simply shoved over on the spot.
More hero training. ...
Oh, God this could end only in tears.
The shark raised an eyebrow at Henshin at that last maybe-crack. It was at this point, however, that he had long since lost any say in the matter. He had figured something like this would happen, knowing the loony old moth, the second he had arrived on the premises. And even throughout his skepticism* about anything and everything the old doc had done, he couldn't hide back that sort of natural curiosity. Somewhere new? A mystery? Maybe, possibly, perhaps finally understanding what Seven had been on about back on the tower?
Mako looked thoughtful for a moment, before: "Sure, why not?"
He looked around. "And we leave... when, exactly?" The shark sounded almost like he expected Henshin to, say, fire them all out of a cannon or something.

Jack was silently contemplating Old Moth Henshin's offer as Target continued to attempt to get her attention. She'd already decided to go when she smacked Target's hand away a second time offering the robot a scowl.
"WHAT?!" She finally snapped.
"Eep!" Target shrunk back at the Sheriffs evident irritation. Though why she was so irritated was lost on the robot. The pink CT pointed a shaky finger towards the screen. "That mantis guy was in Yellow Desert just before the attack."
"YES. THANK you, Target. I will keep that in mind." Jack snapped back but as she went on she calmed down. Jack rubbed her temple a moment and then patted the robot on her head and turned her attention back to the group. And awaited the answer to Mako's question as that was the only one she needed to know at this point.

Dr. Henshin eyed the robot. It was an interesting piece of trivia, and one he took note of, certainly. "Hm." Nevertheless, he went on and answered Mako's question. "As soon as reasonably possible," he said and nodded briskly. "I currently have you scheduled to leave the day after tomorrow—just to give you all a little time to take care of any personal matters before you leave, of course." He spun a finger in the air as he rattled off examples. "You know, to pack some things, have your mail held, say goodbye to loved ones..." He really didn't mean that last part to sound so ominous. "So, unless you have any objections, come back the day after tomorrow, hm?"*

"Fine." Jack agreed with a wave for her spunky robot to follow she headed out.
"I wonder if there's a 'Wild Jet' we'll be taking. or maybe a 'Wild Plane'" Target rattled happily as they walked out.
"With our luck, it'll just be a cannon he shoots us out in the general direction of the place we're goin'." Jack sounded a little dismayed at the idea of having Henshin work out the logistics, but what did he have to lose? it's not like she had a job to go back to.
